My husband, mother and I spent 3 weeks this Feb/Mar 2024 at the Lydmar. This place is a hidden gem with excellent staff. Isabel, the manager, is second to none. Always helpful, friendly and an all round nice person. The cleaning ladies Jessica and Norma were absolutely pleasant and did a great job taking care of our rooms. Juan the night watchman is super friendly. The pool is always clean and inviting. This is a very nice quiet hotel with longer term clientel. We enjoyed the close proximity to Umma (coffee cafe), Adelitats across the street, Jungle Pizza, Brazza and Trattoria. All very good places to eat and enjoy. It is also just a short 10 min walk to the Playa La Ropa, I found this an easy walk as I do have some mobility issues. Overall it is very easy to get taxis and combis to pick you up or drop you off at the hotel. We would definitely love to stay here again.
Great hotel, great staff, great owners, great pricing! Perfect breakfast place across the street and a couple blocks to La Ropa beach, restaurants and bars, idyllic beach... PERFECT location! We're doing a return trip next week, bringing our daughter and her family from New Zealand!
Lovely hotel with really helpful, attentive staff. We were a large group and they went out of their way to make us comfortable. Everything was very clean and the garden is beautiful. The rooms are really nice and the pool is lovely. 5 minute walk to the beach, 2 good breakfast places across the street. We would definitely come back!!
Very outstanding place for staying near by La Ropa Beach . Just 3 min walking to Beach and restaurants. Isabel is receptionist and she is a very nice person and super hospitable. all staff are very friendly and treat guests with respect. Size of suits are enormous and super clean. Wifi are very strong ,too! A highly recommended place for staying short or long term in beautiful Zihuatanejo. I will definitely book this place again.
This is a great hotel, but if you choose to come here, please be aware that none of the staff on site speak English. This hotel is the best if you bring your own food and drink some cleaning supply, as the nearest shop is the Oxxo. It is OK for a quick shop, but it's not the cheapest option. On the other hand there are several great restaurants near by.
